Bookshelf Additions

I made a trip to a local Half Price Books yesterday afternoon. I did a quick scan of the clearance computer books and was about to walk away when I found a copy of "Perl in a Nutshell" by Ellen Siever, Stephen Spainhour & Nathan Patwardhan. So I decided that a thorough look at the books was in order and am I glad that I did! What should I find but "Programming perl" by Larry Wall and Randal L. Schwartz as well as "Learning Perl" by Randal L. Schwartz!!!

I never thought that I'd find a pink Camel nor a pink Llama. But I found them both at the same time! Do you know what the best part is? Each book cost me only $2. How cool is that?

That's a keeper

I still have about five books from the first printing of each edition of every book I've written. My theory is that some day, I can auction a few of these off, and retire. {grin}

Great Books Cheap

There is nothing, nothing like the gloat you get over a great book you got cheap. I go to Amazon and buy books that are new or 'slightly used' for very little. Then folks who care nothing about books get to hear all about in minute detail.

The puzzle is how they can make money letting other booksellers (or individuals) sell their books on Amazon.
